As there will not be a Chorley congress this August Bank Holiday weekend, Leyland Chess Club are going to hold a 6-round longplay congress over the August Bank Holiday weekend and Lancashire Chess Association have asked Leyland Chess Club to include the Lancashire Championships in that congress.

Sections
FIDE-rated Open
Major (U160)
Minor (U120)

Prizes for each section
1st 200
2nd 100
2x grading prize 50
"Lancashire Champion" title for highest placed Lancashire player (plus trophy to keep for a year)

Other Prizes
25 for Open Section Lancashire Champion
St John Cup (to keep for a year) for the highest score by an LCA- registered female player (in any section)

Rounds start at 09.30 and 14.00 each day and rate of play is 40 moves in 100 minutes followed by 20 minutes added for completion of the game.
