We are pleased to announce our latest FIDE rated 10 player all play all event will take place over the bank holiday weekend of 23-25 August and resume two weeks later on 6-7 September 2008. The aim of the event is to give strong players the chance to play 9 competitive FIDE rated games whilst at the same time offering unrated players the opportunity to obtain a full FIDE rating in just one event. The event consists of 2 or 3 groups of 10 players each. Provided each unrated player scores at least 1/9 and performs above 1400 the unrated players are guaranteed to obtain a full FIDE rating in time for the October 2008 list (which will be used for 4NCL for example).
